As director of marketing and business development, Spencer works closely with Chiang | O’Brien’s partners and studio leadership to develop strategic direction, business development targets, project proposals, and multi-media storytelling. Spencer works to communicate the meaningful stories of Chiang | O’Brien’s design process and the projects they create for higher education students and campuses. Her background in architectural design, as both a project manager and owner’s representative in real estate development, has provided her with a unique perspective of the client experience.

Spencer holds a master of architecture and landscape architecture degree from the University of Virginia where she was awarded the Design Excellence in Architecture award, and a bachelor of arts degree from St. John’s College in Annapolis, Maryland.
