Co-founder and Vice President of Chiang | O’Brien Architects, Bob O’Brien has focused his professional career on serving clients in higher education. Prior to launching Chiang | O’Brien, Bob was a principal at HOLT Architects, which he co-founded in 1983. Bob takes special interest in exploring emerging technologies, particularly in the areas of construction materials and systems. He has written and lectured on building envelope design, and continues to pursue advanced design solutions for high-performance buildings. An advocate for sustainable design, Bob’s projects have achieved LEED® Silver, Gold, and Platinum certification levels.
Bob holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Cornell University, where he also pursued graduate studies in Architectural Sciences. He is a licensed architect in New York and Pennsylvania, and is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.
